Simple metal detector on two chips NE 555, How to make a simple metal detector. Can you find the gold hidden underground with this metal detector?, The other day when I was searching instructables I come across on interesting and simple circuit for metal detector. It is build with 555.
How to Build a Metal Detector. Building your own metal detector is fun and educational. However, you can make a metal detector at home. And you can not only save thousands, but also enriched, finding the treasure. Let's talk about the device itself and try to understand what is in it and how.

Many radio amateurs dream to collect a simple metal detector with their own hands to find treasures. I had such a dream as a child, to find a huge wooden treasure chest. So I decided to implement it. Today I will tell how to make a simple metal detector on two chips NE 555. The device works on the principle of induction balance, consists of two generators working on the same frequency, designed to search for black and non-ferrous metals without discrimination. The metal detector has a good sensitivity, it is able to detect a coin at a depth of up to fifteen centimeters, larger objects up to eighty centimeters.
The principle of work of detector very simple, two generators working on one frequency, make the uniform balanced, induction system which works on the verge of failure. Once the metal is in the coil area, the induction balance is broken and the signal is transmitted in the dynamics.
Coils at detector should be absolutely identical. Each reel is wrapped separately on a frame with a diameter of 19 centimeters and contains 30 turns of a wire 0.5-0.7 mm in a varnish isolation.
After soldering all components, the device must be properly configured. The P1 resistor on 100 k is designed to adjust the frequency of the receiving generator. Resistor p2 on 200 k for coarse adjustment of the device sensitivity.
Remote resistor p3 on 100 k for fine adjustment of sensitivity detector. All resistors put in the middle position.
